Species: Human

Sex: Female

Age: 46

Year: 2010

Country: Canada

Locality: Ontario

Survived?: Yes

Medical Diagnosis of Blastomycosis?: Yes

Where Caught: Seems to have been from construction in the area but no one knows for sure. There have been multiple construction sites around the town this year.

Symptoms: Cough that doesn't produce mucus,
fatigue, shortness of breath, cannot sleep, loss of appetite.

Treatment: Sporonax-twice a day for about a year, she was told. She is 2 months into treatment and is not much better at all

Cost of Treatment: Cost is being covered by some government health plan at the moment but we do not know for how long

Additional Comments: There are now many more folk diagnosed with this in the area but no one seems to want to talk about it because it's a tourist town and it seems they don't want it to get out. I am afraid for my daughter and only want her to get better.
