Where Caught: Likely contracted at cottage in Pointe au Baril

Symptoms: Coughing in 2001, treated with antifungal drigs. Relapse in May 2002, large mass near colon and Emily lost peripheral vision in 1 eye. Treated with anti fungal and improved, no symptons until spring 2004.

Treatment: By summer 2004 had developed large mass in abdomen, treated with amphocetrerin B IV at Mississauga Refrral Centre. Underwent exploratory surgery, and spread of disease was confirmed. Emily was humanely euthanized.

Cost of Treatment: Roughly $7000 to 8000 over 3 years.

Additional Comments: She was my best tracking dog, who never lived long enough to obtain her official TD.
