Where Caught: my husband went on a hunting trip to ohio in oct.2009, he became very sick and had to go to the hospital..they dignosed him with acute servere bronchitis.and they suspected lung cancer..he had a 2cm nodule on his lung.

Symptoms: 1)coughing
2)servere bronchitis
4)joint and muscle pain
5)short of breathe

Treatment: Itraconazole 200mg daily for 6mons

Cost of Treatment: we have insurance..medicare and cigna..we didn't have to pay anything

Additional Comments: when my husband returned fron ohio he went through ct scans, mri's and pet scans, since they didn't find cancer they did a lung biopsy..he was dignosed 2 weeks ago (it took so long because he didn't want to have the lung biopsy done well i'm a nurse so guess who won that fight)..the Doctors here say they have never seen this type of infection in NC. it's possible he picked it up while in ohio..but his symptoms were very fague the bronchitis cleared up within a week.he had no skin lesions either..he is diabetic so he just thought it was the diabetes causes his other symptoms..
