Has anyone's vet prescribed ketoconazole for blasto? Just curious as I'm looking for a cheaper option to fluconazole and itra. Chick's blasto has reared its ugly fungal head again, this time in her front leg bone. The joint is now the size of a golf ball. It was infected, but antibiotics helped. The lesions in her eyes never did go away.

She was on fluconazole for three years continuously and I finally stopped it a year when her eye lesions didn't improve. Enough was enough. Rather spend the money on dog bones and fun stuff for her since leaving her on it wasn't making much difference.

Funny how anti-fungals have a hard time passing through the blood brain barrier, but blasto has no problem!
