Rest now Benelli Blue
« on: October 05, 2012, 01:40:34 PM »
We took Benneli, our 5 year old yellow lab to the vet on September 25, because of light odd symptoms.  We put Benelli to sleep on October 4, after being on meds for about a week she deteriorated so badly. Blasto had overtaken her eyes, lungs, skin, and bone. I am going to miss her sooo much. A wonderful dog. What a terrible disease.

I am so sorry to hear that.  It can take them so fast :-(

Are you in an area known for having blastomycosis?

Thank you;) I had never heard of it before and watching her go through it was terrible. I'm in Illinois, southwest suburb of Chicago.

So sorry to hear about Benelli Blue. You did all you could. My thoughts and prayers are which you.
One day at a time!
