I am so proud of you ALL!
« on: November 12, 2010, 12:16:26 PM »

I really havent been posting much on here lately but I have been reading a few times a day. I needed to start a thread to tell all of the new doggies here that I am SOOOOO proud of you. You guys have done such a great job of supporting eachother in this very very crucial time. I will never forget how sad and lonely I felt when Marge got sick. When I found this site here I knew that everyone here was struggling just like I was and I found comfort in that. I have cried and cried for Marge when she was sick and for all of the dogs we have lost here. Thankfully everyday we are making a difference and spreading our knowledge and experiences. I know how you have all felt seeing your best friends struggle through this. It is so emotionally draining and not something anyone wants to see. Remember that it is OK to cry so do it as much as you need to but on the same token it is also very important to stay positive. Wilson3 told me when Marge first got sick that I needed to tell Marge all of the things I wanted to do with her when she got better. Marge had never been swimming in her life so I told her that I was going to take her to the lake and let her swim for the first time just as soon as she was able to and we did end up doing that. She looked like a polar bear in the water, all you saw was the top of her back and her head and she was moving so slowly and she could not have been more excited. You all WILL make it through this no matter what. Unfortunately some have lost their dogs along the way but things DO happen for a reason. Those stories are what is going to help the next person and so on. Love your dogs everyday as much as you can. Life is so short and life with our animals is even shorter. Take the extra 5 minutes for the longer cuddles and appreciate the dog hair tumbleweeds because there are people out there that will never be lucky enough to have the bond with an animal like we all do here. I cannot express enough how truly greatful I am to the people here and how happy it makes me to see everyone sticking together. Marge lights up my life everyday... From the time I wake up in the morning and I have to force her big booty outside and I get to scratch her and make her feel so good to the time we go to bed its just amazing. Thank you all for helping us along this journey and keep up the amazing work! I wanted to share a pic of Marge with her daddy showing her Chicago Blackhawk pride! -Eva
