How long before he gets better instead of worse
« on: February 28, 2017, 11:04:39 PM »
We've been treating our 4.5 year old golden Everett for Blasto for 2 weeks now and he keeps getting worse. He's on itraconozole and has been for 2 weeks.
He's also on an antibiotic because she thought the lump on his nose and labored breathing was an infection (a few days before she asked to see him again and thought to check for blasto- praise the Lord she thought to!). We've been continuing with the antibiotics to run their course- like in humans- so as not to create a super bug because she was worried one of the sores was infected.

Since starting the itraconozole 2 weeks ago, Everett continues to get worse. More sores, not wanting to eat, nauseous, and tonight his breathing is so mucusy and labored he can't sleep and has to keep his head up.

My questions are how long before he starts to improve on the treatment? Are the antibitoics making it worse? Any tips to help him breathe??

Hoping Everett is doing better this week. It's a long tough road.
