Blastomycosis in Prescott, WI

I had heard of the people in Afton, MN that had contracted Blasto. It took over a month for my pulmonary specialist in St. Paul, MN to test me and finally send me to an infectious disease specialist, also in St. Paul, MN. It's been a year since I was diagnosed. I have just recently started coughing again, and now it's productful. I will be seeing my pulmonary doctor asap. I'm so glad to have found this site! I'll be checking in for new info often.

Read your post 7/2.  How are you doing?  I am from Wisconsin and I have Blastomycosis.  I was misdiagnosed as having a lung tumor, and my lower lobe was removed before the Blasto was discovered.  Now I have alot of problems resulting from the surgery, and am having the treatment for blasto.  Are you on medication?  Is it working?  Any difficulties w/ the meds?  Good luck to you.
