Is Blasto out of our lives??
« on: August 08, 2008, 12:02:02 AM »

Oh!! what a long and tormenting road it has been.
(If you're not familiar with my story read "Blastomycosis in Northern Ontario")

After almost 2 years we now know that the Blasto came from the house. My mother was cleared of it, which is a relief she's already COPD(Chronic Obstrutive Pulmonary Disease).  My sister-in-law's mother has no sign of Blasto anymore.  Her now ex-boyfriend seems to be functioning normally.  My nephews were now seen again by a dermatologist and no fungus on their skin just some psoriasis and some warts.

We seem to be breathing better and sleeping better at night.  One of my sibling had been having a hard time and now has been able to somewhat move on.  I guess it gives us some sense of closure.  The case is now being looked at by a law firm to determine if any action can be brought against the hospital or the Health department.

Trying to keep you posted!!

Doris, I do hope you've seen the last of it.
From what I understood, you have all moved from the house?
I'm still stunned that no one has taken the opportunity to check the place out, as they're always saying how hard it is to isolate an outbreak. I don't know what else they'd call it!
Best wishes of continued health for you and your family-
