Lola - Update since starting the Itra again.
« on: October 15, 2011, 12:59:50 PM »

Last month we took Lola off her Itra for a month to give her liver a chance to recover some.  Last week her Mira Vista test came back a 1.37.  We decided to put her back on her Itra through the end of the year.  This would have her on a solid year of treatment and since she has been dropping 3 or more points a month this should mean we would continue treatment for a over a month after a 0.  She started back on Itra last week.  Yesterday I started faintly smelling a familiar odor.  As I got closer to Lola and realized it was her breath.  I can remember smelling this same odor shortly after Lola first started treatment in January.  Dead fungus in her lungs producing a rancid odor every time she exhales.  It seems strange to me that she would still have enough fungus in her lungs to produce this odor with a 1.37 test reading?  Hoping its just the last little bits of Blasto that maybe dropped their guard when we stopped treatment.  Other than that shes doing great.

Hugs and kisses to all her Blasto buddies.
