CORRECTION: WRONG DRUG NAME FOR EYE TREATMENT
« on: November 14, 2007, 07:35:43 AM »

Voranconazole is the correct name of the drug injected behind the eye.  My sincere apologies and I presume anyone following up would have found that out directly from Dr. Wheelan.  It must be a new azole drug and I am going to try to do some research on it.

Yes, Bosun in Toronto used it and appears to have regained some sight as well as full retinal reattachment.  It will be six months before they can determine the extent of the success or lack thereof.  I suggested Moose and pando look into it as well, but one vet said they wouldn't do it.  Not sure if that vet actually spoke to the hospital.  They had a line for vets to call in for consults and info.
