Oh my goodness....I LOVE THAT! (Huge, ear to ar smile on my face). And I am so glad that Alphie is doing better.  He's very cute. So what's the book gonna be about?  Frindship?  Love of pets?  Dogs?  Helping out people like me (for which I am forever gratefull to all of you).  I can't wait to read it.  I wish you all great success!  And I hope its a little warmer in Iowa.  I can bearly stand the winters here in Alabama (still a California girl at heart), I could never make it even a week up there. Burrrrr!

Well, here is Alfie's sister, Scout. 15 lbs of habanero pepper! Cowboy is both thrilled and exhausted. His nap time has been seriously shortened, but he loves to play with her. She follows after him like a little caboose. It's pretty funny.

We're all rooting for Alfie, and hopeful that he's going to be tougher and stronger after all of this.

RIP beautiful little Alfie. Here for such a short time and loved so very, very much. Love and strength for our dear friend Barb. No words. Heartbroken.

No, Alfie passed this morning. After a tough battle. Not certain yet, but Barb's vets believe it may have been distemper. Our breeder, takes a holistic approach to puppy health, choosing not to vaccinate. Unfortunately Alfie was the last to be purchased, and last to be vaccinated. We are all devastated.

And it had to happen to Barb - the one who lost 3 pets in 2010.  I just feel so very terrible for her.  Please everyone e-mail her words of comfort and encouragement.  She really needs our support.
