I know that DB has some junk in the trunk, but I'm not worried about it.  She's big enough to carry a few extra lbs., but her attitude toward eating has changed.  It's like she remembers being sick/starving and is afraid to be hungry.  There's always enough food for all the dogs to share, but if it's something special she will start fights and try to take it for herself.

Maybe she's spoiled too.  She's a different dog since being sick, very loving, dependant, interactive, and protective of me.

This is funny:
I remember when our daughter brought her home for Thanksgiving just after she and the roommates got her. (They lived in the Rugby house on campus then, and had just gotten DB as a puppy.  I begged them to get a cat.)
Anyway, I slept on the sofa, and Dirt came that night and curled up with her head next to mine on the pillow.  I dreamed that she told me her name wasn't really "Dirtbike", but that it was "Bless-ed".  I knew then that she was MY dog, even if she had 4 other "moms" at the time.
