Pickles home from surgery
« on: November 02, 2007, 05:56:47 PM »

Pickles had her lids done today and she is doing great.  I can actually see her eyes !!!  I'm sure she's thrilled that she can see again.  She has to wear her E collar for 9 days until she gets the stitches out.  She's on Trazadone for pain and I'm putting Neo Poly Bac ointment into her eyes .  She slept most of the day away and now she's sitting on the couch with her baby (her stuffed animal)  Sadie (my lab) is being big sister to her.  Pickles was so miserable and in so much pain for all those weeks.  I am so thankful that she was properly diagnosed.

Yeah! I am so happy for Pickles. After Marge had her surgery she was a totally different dog! She started getting up and moving around a heck of a lot more because she wasn't in pain any longer. Marge didn't have to wear her e collar as long as we kept an eye on her because she was so bizarre with it on that she wouldn't move. She would stand in the same spot not moving like a statue and she is so laid back that she didn't do any bother to her eyes anyhow. She looks fabulous now and is comfortable which was the most important. Keep us posted on Pickles recovery!
