Pickles surgery
« on: October 31, 2007, 09:31:27 PM »

Pickles was seen by a wonderful, caring vet opthamologist who actually LISTENED to me when I explained how she's had such terrible eye problems for two months.  She diagnosed her with entropion- a genetic condition of the eyes that many of the pushed faced breeds can have- and Pickles is having her eye surgery on this Friday.  She remains the sweet little girl she's always been and I am so happy that she is going to be able to see after she has the surgery.  When we got home from the vet I lifted her up onto the couch and kissed her little squinty eyes and told her that, yes, she will be able to see once again.  So good news.

Hopefully it'll be easily fixed! Good luck-

Great news.  Please keep us posted about the surgery.  It is the good news stories that keep everyone going.... and thankfully you don't have to continue on under the cloud of blasto.  I have tears in my eyes when I read these posts knowing how everyone struggles through each day trying to do the very best we can for these brave and trusting pets.  Lucky Pickles to have you and lucky you to have found someone who would listen.  Kudos to that Doctor!

Now we wait to hear from Wilson3 and pray that he has good news.  The silence is deafening.

Marge also had entropian and she had to have "her eyes done". We always told everyone that my dog got "an eye lift" before me! Marge did fantastically after the surgery. I wish Pickles the best! I am sure she will do great!
